Meet Our Doctors

Veterinarian, Clinic Owner

Dr. Rosen's interest in animals began as a child growing up in rural Oregon, and she quickly decided to pursue a career in animal health care. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Dr. Rosen continued her education at Oregon State University receiving a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Rosen became interested in the benefits of ancient Chinese and holistic practices and is currently adding a Master's degree in Chinese medicine to her credentials.

Dr. Rosen currently lives in Eugene, Oregon with her husband Eric and their two children Alex and Raechyl.

Veterinary Associate

Dr. Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois in 1988, and graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a DVM in 1993. Dr. Johnson's specialty is general practice.

She grew up in a rural area in Galena, IL-NW Illinois with two brothers, a stay-at-home mom, and her dad was one of the town's family doctors. She aspired to be a veterinarian from early childhood, saying she had the "classic love of animals," and also had a passion for science and thought becoming a veterinarian would be a good way to combine the two interests. She says being a veterinarian is a rewarding occupation.

After vet school, Dr. Johnson practiced equine and small animal medicine in Galena, IL for eight years before moving to Oregon in 2002.

Dr. Johnson's hobbies include birding, photography, hiking, nature observation, and cycling. She is married and has two pets: Bilby, a 3-year-old male neutered Ragdoll cat; and Bandi, a 3-year-old female spayed black and white, medium hair, mixed breed cat.

Dr. Melissa Wilberger

Dr. Wilberger works at both of Dr. Rosen’s clinic locations: Cascade Animal Clinic and Mohawk Veterinary Hospital.

She is a graduate of Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry, and she continued her education at Oregon State University-College of Veterinary Medicine, earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2012.

Mohawk Veterinary HospitalTo stay updated on the latest veterinary practices and techniques, Dr. Wilberger continues seeking new learning opportunities, and she is currently pursuing ultrasound diagnostic training.

When not working at our clinics or in training, Dr. Wilberger acts as a control judge/veterinarian for horse endurance rides; and in her spare time she enjoys riding horses, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, two horses, and two dogs.

We were recently excited to learn that Dr. Wilberger and her husband are expecting their third child in November 2017!

When not working at Mohawk, Tracie enjoyed spending time with her kids (both furry and human), and they all enjoyed camping, hiking, and reading good books.

At home, Tracie and her family shared their lives with Buster Brown, their 10-year-old Pekingese; Miss Piggy, a 4-year-old Pitbull; and a 10-year-old domestic short hair cat named Koda Bear.
